NOMINATIONS: OPEN

NOMINATIONS! ARE! OPEN!

Tagset is HERE!

Your nominations create the set of stories that can be offered and requested when signing up. The tagset is user-chosen and changes from year to year. You don't need to nominate to sign up, but you do need to nominate to ensure that what you want is in the tag set.

You can nominate up to 4 fandoms and up to 4 characters each.

Nominations guidelines can be found here in the FAQ, resources (such as links to the text of various stories) can be found here, and of course feel free to ask the mods anything at: onceupon@fandom.exchange

Please be specific when nominating - narrow your tale down by author or origin. Many fairytales have multiple versions and we only allow specific versions so everyone is working from the same variation.

Good: Beauty and the Beast - Joseph Jacobs
Bad: Beauty and the Beast (Fairytales)

We welcome comments on this post to clarify which version you mean. Links are great, especially if you think we may have difficulty finding the source.

Nominate! Check back before the end of nominations (Jan 29th) to see if we have questions for you! And then, Feb 5th, SIGN-UPS!

Important Dates, all times in CST/CDT:

Nomination Period: January 15th, Sunday to January 29th, 11:59 PM Sunday
Sign Ups: February 5th, Sunday to February 15th, 11:59 PM Wednesday
Assignments out: February 17th, Friday
No-Fault Deadline: April 16th, 11:59 PM Sunday

Thanks! Here's a webpage with some more variants, although the one that's closest to Fairport Convention has a book publication date of 1974.

I might go the route of talking about the later version in my letter. (It's a really spooky song!)

Take care

Hello, really sorry about the confusion here! I suspect some of Reynardine's tricksiness is bleeding through. 1974 is not old enough to count as public domain purposes for taking the "narrator is separate to Reynardine" versions as a source text so back out they go again. We really hope that having the maiden and Reynardine still allows sufficient flexibility.
