Hello people (including presently enchanted animals and other magical beings)!
Welcome to the 2017 edition of Once Upon a Fic! It will be very like 2015 and 2016 but possibly even better because 3 is a magical number.
The FAQ is updated at the collection. It covers such things as what can be nominated, how requests work, how offers work, and what you are expected to write. If it doesn't answer your questions you can email the mod (jean @ hamsterbandit dot com) or leave a comment on a post here.
In just a few days (January 22nd) nominations will begin! That means it's time to start choosing your stories. The relevant part of the FAQ for nominations is found here!
The tag sets from 2015 and 2016 may give you some ideas about what kinds of fairy-tales, myths, legends, rhymes, fables, tall tales, and epics you would like to submit.
If you're looking for stories, try out these resources (and feel free to suggest other ones to me!) over here
Things to take note of:
- As said above, we have updated our FAQ! Found here on DW and here on AO3! Notable changes include: We've clarified phrasing and phased in the nominations faq so it is no longer a separate document.
-
morbane is Co-Mod this year!
- The LJ mirror has been officially deprecated and will no longer be updated, beyond the sticky post at the top which will be edited with relevant information such as when nominations/sign ups are open or closed.
- This June, I, Benedict, will be running an Alternate Universe exchange at
auexchange (Alternate Universe Exchange/AUex) Keep an eye on that space!
See you on the 22nd!
