I'm super into the dark, ritualistic nature of this play, so I'd love something that deals with or otherwise touches on themes of rites, initiations, and sacrifice. So on that note, I'd love something dealing with the relationship between Dionysus and Pentheus, maybe an AU where Dionysus was raised in the house of Cadmus and slowly developed into godhood, or one where Pentheus had some sort of connection to Dionysus before the events of the play (or, you know, dub-or-non-conny Dionysus/Pentheus smut playing with the religious aspects of the narrative). I'd also be super into something from Agave's perspective. How does she go on after participating in the killing of her son? What was her life like before the play?

This is one of my favorites of the Child Ballads. As for prompts, I'd love to see something exploring Tam Lin's time with the Fairy Queen, or an exploration of Janet's character. I'd also love some ideas about what exactly the spell tying Tam Lin to Carterhaugh is, and how it connects to the roses. Finally, this is one where I would love a retelling where the main relationship's queer, and because of this, genderbending this one would be very relevant to my interests. This is just such a delightfully twisted ballad in all its iterations, and I'd love something focusing on the role of music in the story, perhaps developing it as a thread that begins happy and then gets rapidly more creepy. Additionally, playing up the supernatural aspects of the story would be wonderful! I'd also love pre-drowning development of the relationship between the sisters. There's so much to love about this story, so I'd love to see just about anything dealing with it, whether it's taking a really magic-focused angle, and maybe dealing with the feelings of Bisclavret's Wife and studying her character. This is another one that I love because I find it absolutely haunting. I would absolutely adore something that works as an exploration of how magic works in this world. Tell me about how magic is learned here, as most of the female characters are at least somewhat witchy in this story. Is it something that anyone can pick up, or are there certain conditions? Talk to me about what happens in the six years while the brothers and the sister are separated! Develop their feelings. Also welcome would be post-story explanations of what it's like for the younger brother, going through life with a swan's wing, and how he feels about being stuck in this limbo between bird and human.

This is another one that I love because I find it absolutely haunting. I would absolutely adore something that works as an exploration of how magic works in this world. Tell me about how magic is learned here, as most of the female characters are at least somewhat witchy in this story. Is it something that anyone can pick up, or are there certain conditions? Talk to me about what happens in the six years while the brothers and the sister are separated! Develop their feelings. Also welcome would be post-story explanations of what it's like for the younger brother, going through life with a swan's wing, and how he feels about being stuck in this limbo between bird and human.

I deeply love this poem, and I very much ship Virgil and Dante. I'd be really into something that kinda leans into the mentorship aspect of their relationship, and Dante's admiration of him. Likewise, I'd be interested in some kind of Virgil character study. Or, you know, anything that's like "Inferno-typical adventures, but with added flirting". Or, a post-canon reminiscence about Virgil from Dante's perspective or Dante from Virgil's.
