Hello, really sorry about the confusion here! I suspect some of Reynardine's tricksiness is bleeding through. 1974 is not old enough to count as public domain purposes for taking the "narrator is separate to Reynardine" versions as a source text so back out they go again. We really hope that having the maiden and Reynardine still allows sufficient flexibility.
