Date: 2017-01-24 12:33 am (UTC)So on my #3, I found a specific story here: http://americanfolklore.net/folklore/2009/05/phantom_diner.html
I'm not wedded to the location, but I love the whole "we went back and the place had been gone for 20 years" sort of story.
There's also Return to Glennascaul which has a Wiki entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Return_to_Glennascaul AND the movie itself is available on YouTube (about 22 mins): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59yMEgjY-1w BUT I don't like it as much because it also drags in the "vanishing hitchhiker".

Date: 2017-02-04 01:29 am (UTC)Yes, I was kind of waiting to see what else people put up (plus indecision!).
I went with the Ocean-Born Mary and Room for One More, and then the Lady Lovibond story I've put up the other 2 years. (I decided to give Ariadne and the Sacrificial Maidens a break this year and the Phantom Passenger as well.)

Date: 2017-02-04 01:39 am (UTC)I LOVE this exchange, it always helps me stretch and do something I'm not used to.
And I love good ghost stories! These two also appear in a book together, but it's sadly not on google books.
(whispers) Can we pretty-please have another fandom next year? We promise we'll be good.
