Thanks for your wonderful nominations! We're working through the last approvals and making corrections - please help us polish up this tag set!

Genesis 3 (The Bible) - This nomination contains relationships. Nominator, we're happy to approve the characters Yahweh, Eve, Adam, and The Serpent for you to request, but your author is only guaranteed to match on one character and you aren't guaranteed to receive a ship. Please let us know if you'd like to change your nomination with that information in mind. (Also, do you have a preferred version of the text? Let us know if so! We will approve as the King James version if you have no preference.)

Legends of the Wild Hunt - From the character nominations, it looks like you have a specific text in mind, but we're not sure what that is. Nominator, could you please help us find the text that includes a Wild Hunt Sympathizer and a Village Witch Keeping the Wild Hunt at Bay? Or suggest another version?

Little Red Riding Hood (Fairy Tale) - Nominator, we've already approved the the Brothers Grimm version, Little Red-Cap. If we don't hear from you, we will change the (Fairy Tale) nomination to the the Perrault version. Please let us know if you'd like a different version instead.

Odin Goes to Mimir's Well: His sacrifice for wisdom - Thanks for choosing a clear title that helps us find which part of the myths you're referring to! Would you prefer for the source text to be the Völuspá, or the Prose Edda (which refers to the Völuspá) or something else? Could you also clarify which giant you mean, please? We will also not approve relationships here.

Song of Solomon (The Bible) We are happy to approve a Beloved | Him and a Beloved | Her as characters, but will not approve the relationship tag as well. (Also, do you have a preferred version of the text? Let us know if so! We will approve as the King James version if you have no preference.)

Tam Lin - Anonymous (Song) - While we've approved this with no version information before, there are a lot of different versions. Nominator, do you have a preference? Please let us know if so!

Tom Thumb (Fairy Tale) - Nominator, as far as we can tell, this story does not have Thumbelina in it - that is a separate story. We will approve a nomination, without Thumbelina, based on Perrault, unless you have a different preferred version of the tale.

Hello! Sorry for causing so many questions! If any of my nominations are too tricky, it's totally okay to drop them entirely, but let me see what I can clear up!

I've included the sources I was referencing at the end of this message, but I will try my best to answer your questions.

Bible versions: I prefer the New Oxford Annotated Bible. My understanding is the text is identical to the English standard Version. I've included links to both for each nomination.
Other bible story questions: I'm happy for works about any character, I have no preference which and was more interested in seeing what an author could do in the world of the story.

Legends of the wild hunt: I'm not sure if my nomination was a good one in retrospect, but I was interested in seeing an author do a kind of thought experiment where they took these original characters (or any characters) to see a different take on the Wild Hunt as either a good thing, or a neutral thing. I was hoping to see a king of "insider's perspective" or "reluctant ally's perspective" on the Wild Hunt.

The giant I was referring to was Vafthrudner, I don't actually know the Mimir's Well story very well, and I found it in the second source for the Well I listed below when finding stories for this exchange and was immediately intrigued.

Thank you so much for your reply! The sources as well as your preference for which version of the Bible are greatly appreciated.

I'm happy to accept the Wild Hunt with the sources you provided! Unfortunately the original characters aren't an option *but* putting the fandom through with 0 and you can prompt for your ideas as that is totally within the rules for this exchange!

EDIT: After some reviewing of the sources for the Wild Hunt we realized that this could be refined for the purposes of the exchange! We'll be with you shortly with more information.

I was feeling a bit weird seeing Peter Pan and then realised - actually, yes, it's out of copyright in the US, as of this January. Isn't that such an amazing thing! (So, not actually a correction.)

We're discussing broadening it a bit in general, but that's a discussion for the comm for next year!
