Please be as specific as you can. 'Cinderella - Charles Perrault' versus 'Perrault's stories', ‘Gawain and the Green Knight’ versus 'Arthurian Mythology.'

If your story doesn't have an AO3 canonical name, choose something descriptive (Medusa and Athena (Greek Myth) for example) and go with that. If you can refer to the source (ie, author, larger titled work) that is very helpful. If you're stuck, consult a mod for help. You may find the names of your nominations changed to more specific versions. Please contact us immediately if we've chosen wrongly.

You may want to nominate an individual story or episode from a very long work. In that case “Descriptive name of story (Longer Title of Work)” may be a good format. Discuss it with us!

The sources should be legally and freely available online. If your fairy-tale comes from a country, language, or culture whose literature isn't well-represented freely online, please contact the mods and we will see what we can do.

Participants! Please be prepared to include links to your preferred version of a tale. There's a huge difference between, say, Perrault's version of Cinderella and the Brothers Grimm. As well, huge works like Ovid's Metamorphoses and 1001 Nights are acceptable to nominate in parts!

Desculpe mas gostaria de corrigir que o chupacabra não é exclusivo da América Central, seu folclore se estende para a América do Sul também, sou brasileira e ele faz parte de nossa cultura como também de países vizinhos. É uma criatura que se alimenta de cabras igual um vampiro, não é homem, nem bicho, é meio indefinido e já foi utilizado em diversas obras como telenovelas, livros, séries, música e etc.

Olá! Estou usando o Google Tradutor para isso. Desculpas pelos erros. Obrigado por suas informações adicionais! A origem do Chupacabra na América Central no post refere-se à notícia onde foi chamado pela primeira vez de Chupacabra pelo apresentador. Não para descartar o Brasil, simplesmente para focar de onde ele veio originalmente.

É uma criatura divertida, não é?

Olá boa tarde, sim ele é interessante. Mas o modo como ficou no texto fica a parecer para os leigos que o Chupacabra existe unicamente na América Central, poucos são os que teriam identificado que se trata só se onde ele possivelmente se originou.

Agradeço por falar em português brasileiro, mas não há necessidade de traduzir para mim seu comentário, pois meu navegador o faz automaticamente.

Haha, yeah. I figured the google translate would be hit or miss. I had to change my message a few times because I could see it using translations that weren't what I intended but I don't know Portuguese well enough to catch all them.

Sim, por isso eu sempre prefiro que não traduzam o que vão falar comigo se não sabem o que será o resultado final. Há palavras em inglês, que no português brasileiro são coisas totalmente diferentes. Para evitar mal entendidos eu sempre falo no meu idioma e uso o texto em inglês (tradutor automático) pouquíssimas vezes.

Obrigada pela mudança do texto da entrada, agora é amplo, sem colocar um lugar só como sua vivência e sim como sua origem. É mais amolo e fiel ao que esse ser é.
