Hello! Thank you for all the nominations so far!

We've held off approving a nomination for Witch in Jorinde und Joringel - because this character has already been approved in someone else's nomination. While we have no problem with approving this, we wonder if the nominator would like to use that slot for something else?


We have two nominations we'd appreciate help narrowing down!

Apologies that it's taken til now to reply to this--I was checking back, but not frequently enough.

All right, I'm the nominator of Beauty and the Beast. And I was just going to put this in my letter, but I do have a specific "like" for this that it be as close to the historical as possible (because of reasons I'll put in my letter, and/or my retelling if I sign up for writing this and get matched with it.)

So I guess that would mean I nominate the very, very first, which is this one:

However part of my interest is in the historical backstory (because there is one) so if that doesn't fit with this exchange I totally understand and would change or delete my nomination.

(I definitely, definitely mean to be nominating as close to the historical tale as possible, and don't intend it to be thought of as like a Disney nom, either. I know there's another exchange for that.)

Beauty and the Beast - Joseph Jacobs would be an acceptable tag for for this nomination! Please put that in the disambigs too! No need to do the French translation since this is an english source.

Feel free to include what interests you about the historical backstory in the optional details but remember that they'd be optional.
