Tagset is HERE!

Your nominations create the set of stories that can be offered and requested when signing up. The tagset is user-chosen and changes from year to year. You don't need to nominate to sign up, but you do need to nominate to ensure that what you want is in the tag set.

You can nominate up to 4 fandoms and up to 4 characters each.

Please be specific when nominating - narrow your tale down by author or origin. You can also comment on the post here to clarify which version you mean, and give us links, especially if you think we may have difficulty finding the source.

I wanted to nominate Jorōgumo actually.
I thought that if you nominated a species of fantastic creatures, you could maybe nominate original characters from this species? Or linked to the story, like, with you example "young girl who met the Chupacabra", but yeah, I'd like to have some guidelines.

Mostly right! It's for creatures that exist mostly as a 'hey, this is a creature' but have no good source or real story to use as canon so they can be nominated on their own. I've given it some thought and decided to give them an umbrella 'fandom' of Mythical Creature.

As well, I did a bit of googling and found that the main stories seem to all be in Japanese but there's an excellent page with summaries that would make a good source for people to learn/write about your nomination. So the guideline for this nomination (which will be clarified in the nominations FAQ) I will give is:

You are correct. In all my confusion over dealing with the interface, I forgot to answer that question. The creature itself shall be the fandom and we allow 0 character fandoms.

If you have any particular sources that you want us to refer to in the spreadsheet for participants, I'd be happy to have them. Otherwise we'll be using the wikipedia page.

The wikipedia page is good! Most English youtube videos about jorogumos start with it, and then talk about them in popular culture. Thank you again!
